RE: CNN reporter criticizes TSA, finds self on terror watch list

----------------- Bulletin Message -----------------
From: My Hate Speech3

The post-9/11 airline watch list that is supposed to keep terrorists off of airplanes has swelled to more than 1 million names, including at least one investigative reporter who had been critical of the Transportation Security Agency, which maintains the watch list.

CNN's Drew Griffin reported on the bloating of the watch list, which an ACLU count pegged at 1,001,308 names Wednesday afternoon. Griffin's is one of those names, he says.

"Coincidentally, this all began in May, shortly after I began a series of investigative reports critical of the TSA. Eleven flights now since May 19. On different airlines, my name pops up forcing me to go to the counter, show my identification, sometimes the agent has to make a call before I get my ticket," Griffin reported. "What does the TSA say? Nothing, at least nothing on camera. Over the phone a public affairs worker told me again I'm not on the watch list, and don't even think that someone in the TSA or anyone else is trying to get even.

"

The TSA, which is a part of the Department of Homeland Security, said Griffin's name wasn't even on the watch list, and the agency blamed the airlines for the delays the reporter experienced. The airlines, on the other hand, said they were simply following a list provided by TSA.

While it wouldn't be much of a stretch for plenty of people to believe the TSA would exercise its revenge via watch-list meddling, an agency spokesman insists that just isn't the case.

"So if there's any thought or shadow of a thought that TSA somehow put you on a watch list because of your reporting," spokesman Christopher White said, "it is absolutely fabricated.

"

PBS breaks ‘media blackout’ of NYT story on Pentagon propaganda»

On Sunday, The New York Times published an explosive report exposing the Pentagon’s secret campaign to use analysts in order to “generate favorable news coverage of the administration’s wartime performance-” Since that time, TV news organizations have largely been silent on their role in the propaganda- Ari Melber notes that last night, PBS’s Newshour finally broke this blackout, but couldn’t convince the other networks to participate:

JUDY WOODRUFF: And for the record, we invited Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and NBC to participate, but they declined our offer or did not respond-

I dont think that anyone who looked at the facts unbiasly didnt think that the pentagon was using agents of the military industrial complex to propagate its campaign for the war. Its just sad that journalist had to sue the government to get these secrets out of them, at least the judicial branch still works. But hey, if these wars wern't a bad idea in the first place, then why would there be a need to reinforce such public opinion with such illegal actions? As a former strong supporter of this war, anyone who doesnt have questions about the legality and morality or these wars is uninformed or still gripped with un patriotic hymes about unity of thought and opinions.

Ed and Elaine Kidnapped by The Fed's.

According to the mainstream media Ed and Elaine Have Been "arrested" without incident.

The Union Leader however reports that: U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier said that the two did not surrender. At this point and time the Feds are not releasing any details on the reported "arrests".

According to Fox News: Details on the reported "arrest" will be provided in a news conference at the federal courthouse in Concord NH on October 10th 2007.

It is currently not clear how the couple who did not surrender were kidnapped without incident.

CNN Omits 9/11 Conspiracy Comments From Video!

CNN is running a story about a protester at a Fred Thompson event who was forced out after telling Thompson he wasn't 'a real conservative.' What CNN neglects to mention, in fact omits from it's story and edits from the corresponding video, is that the woman ejected from the Thompson event wasn't a 'conservative.' In fact, the female who was asking the questions was a memeber of 'Houston 9/11 Truth' and was removed only after screaming 'what about building 7?' and '9/11 was an inside job.' Watch the raw video of the event and see what CNN edited out.

Why would CNN cut out the 9/11 conspiracy comments? Clearly, they had access to the same footage I did so why did I have to discover this on my own? This looks like a blatant attempt by CNN to make Fred Thompson look bad.
