You are in CA area right? You will be breathing radioactive depleted uranium dust long before this happens if you don't take steps NOW to stop Lawrence Livermore Labs from getting a permit to explode 450 lbs of DU...
I have posted bulletins on this, I have blogged and commented on this, but no one seems to be paying any attention. I am flabberghasted, totally aghast and actually crying right now.
I lived in CA (central coast) for 15 years. My friends and family are in Ca. YOU and they will be horribly afflicted with multiple types of cancers if this is not stopped!
Depleted uranium (when exploded) turns into a fine, highly radioactive and toxic ceramic dust (less than 1 micron in size -sails right through HEPA filters!!) that is breathed in and lodges in the lungs, causing massive, irreparable DNA damage and multiple types of cancer, thyroid problems, etc..
It CANNOT be cleaned up by any measure (my mom worked for the US Dept of Defense on a project to find a way, and they CAN'T). It immediately suspends into the atmosphere (into the clouds and comes down with rain) and travels all over within the weather.
It *will* affect YOU and your loved ones!,
LLL wants to explode LOTS of this stuff. The only thing that will stop it is public outcry. The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District is going to take public comment on their permit application. I am telling you that public outcry CAN stop it.
PLEASE, for the love of God and your own life, act before it is too late! This is not bullshit, this is not playing around. I am serious as a heart attack! I will be calling them and lying like a bitch that I live there and objecting in the strongest possible terms to the permit. I am asking EVERYONE to call and say they live there and object, so hopefully enough pressure and comment will be enough to stop this madness.
If it isn't, well, you can kiss your life goodbye - your pretty hair and health will be only a memory. Hello, cancer!
I'm begging you to pass this info along to everyone you know in CA and in the US, before it's too late.
It *will* spread across the continent, as it has already spread from the Balkans and Iraq to the UK... this has been measured scientifically. It is no joke. It is horrifyingly real.
